2010 American League Champion Texas Rangers
It’s hard to think that this baseball season is over. Unlike previous seasons the Texas Rangers’ last game was in early November instead of early October. And despite the unwelcomed feeling of knowing we fell short of our ultimate goal, it feels so fantastic knowing this season is the best the Rangers have ever had. This is the first time we’ve seen one of the most professional and deserving players in the game, Michael Young, suit up in the post season. The first time we had ever won a post season game at home, or won a post season series, or an ALCS Championship… Our first World Series…
The Texas Rangers in the World Series… Wow.
This has been a crazy year with roster changes no one could have ever anticipated, not to mention the change in ownership groups. It’s not that we didn’t have expectations to succeed, but to have reality meet expectations has been surreal. As fans we’ll always have this first AL Championship to remember and appreciate. Players will get to enjoy the fruits of this seasons labor for a time, but then set new goals and start working hard in the off-season for the upcoming year. But from top to bottom in the Rangers organization, and all fans, we know this may have been the first, but it won’t be the last World Series in Arlington.
I can’t wait to see what next season has in store. See you opening day!
