We all have a perception of who we are. The outside world also has a perception of who we are. Our lives are spent waiting for these two perceptions to match up. It is our struggle to convince the world of our perception & not let them convince us their perception is reality. It sometimes feels like a losing battle.

Awesome Trip 2011
So this is the third day of a two week trip and it’s been a ridiculous whirlwind of fun, so I haven’t really been able to post anything about it but I will provide many details soon. But in short we have been through 8 states/provinces two countries and slept in three different cities. I’ve had two of the best meals of my life and relived parts of my childhood at an amazing...

Light at the End of the Tunnel
“Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel, was just a freight train coming your way.” -Metallica (No Leaf Clover)
I don’t normally base my thoughts and opinions on Metallica songs, but as I was up late thinking (as usual) this lyric popped into my head. The song is about thinking you have a solution for a problem, you see the answer coming so you...

I got this link from my friend Mimo who posted it on facebook. This particular link is to one of my favorite photos. To see it properly look at the two larger side by side photos. Cross your eyes until the two photos meet in the middle. At this point there will be three images, focus on the middle image, and it will become 3D… Its so freggin awesome! It gets easier as you practice.

Wide Awake & Thinking
OMG why am I awake right now? I don’t know to be honest but it seems late nights can cause one to be quite introspective. There’s allot to think about and allot to say. But the bottom line is as I sift through the rolodex of issues, one thing is true: Everything falls into two categories, things that make me happy and things that make me sad. I try to think on the things that make me...

Hey Y'all!
Hey everyone, I just wanted to post an update of everything that’s been going on with me lately. As you more than likely have seen, if you follow me on another social network, my band, Catfish Lincoln & the Northern Rebellion, has recorded an EP entitled The Fox & The Hound. It arrives today actually, we’re very excited about this. It has 6 songs, and cost 6 bucks. We also ship if...

Just like any other mid-twenties dude, I get hyped anytime I hear rumors of a new comic book movie being made. One of the things that I anticipate most is how the costume will be translated from a drawing to a wearable suit. Recently some photos were released of two comic heroes who will be hitting the sliver screen soon. One of those is of a hero that hasn’t been seen in a while at the...
Yesterday I posted the first edition of “Blog on the Run” my new blog series. My initial idea for the blog would be only video blogs filmed and produced with my iPhone, but then I got to thinking… what’s a blog without wasting a little bit of company time? (You know those articles we all roll our eyes at when they say be careful of what you post on the internet cause it...

2010 American League Champion Texas Rangers
It’s hard to think that this baseball season is over. Unlike previous seasons the Texas Rangers’ last game was in early November instead of early October. And despite the unwelcomed feeling of knowing we fell short of our ultimate goal, it feels so fantastic knowing this season is the best the Rangers have ever had. This is the first time we’ve seen one of the most professional...

Baseball life lessons
I feel like a runner at third, wanting to come home so bad. The ball was hit hard, but can’t commit because it may be caught. If I wait I can tag up and go but if I just run I may be doubled off. I can see the ball flying through the air, but it feels like it’s taking a week to land. I tell myself, just play it safe. Play it smart. You’ll get home either way.
You want underdogs? We got ‘em!
A quick look at the underdogs on the Rangers roster… all 25 of them.
Rotation
Cliff Lee- Traded away for an upgrade.
C.J. Wilson- Former reliever who had to talk his way into a shot at the rotation.
Colby Lewis- Left for Japan two years ago to finish out his career.
Relief
Alexi Ogando- Could not get a visa to leave the Dominican Republic for 5 years and never pitched above winter ball before...

5 Reasons why Rays fans can get over the 'Check...
As many know during game 2 of the ALDS Rangers vs Rays, there was a “blown call” on a check swing by Michael Young which should have been called a strike, which would have led to Young striking out. Instead the ump said he checked his swing and Young hit the next pitch into the stands for a three-run home run.
1. Check swing calls are judgment calls which means just like balls and...
Impact
Last year I went to a charity event held by then Texas Rangers left handed reliever C.J. Wilson. I arrived a little early, before most of the crowd, but in the end the crowd never reached over a couple of hundred people. You could imagine had it been an event held by star outfielder Josh Hamilton, the number would have been in the thousands. But in speaking to Wilson he said he knew the numbers...
